Wine Rack

Since my kitchen cabinets were "Free" and not intended for the layout of my space, I had to be creative.  I found a nice wine rack to fill up a space that was empty.  I decided to make it my bar area.  Now all I need is some wine to fill up the racks!!!

My Home

February 2009, I decided to take the big step to home ownership.  I was 50 years old and very happy to finally be able to settle down and put effort into creating a space that makes me feel happy.  I lived very frugally for 4 years saving every dime I could, living without necessities like a washer/dryer convenient in my house.  I survived the experience and now own a beautiful condo.  I spent quite a bit fixing the things that needed fixing.  The latest was the kitchen.  The original was very dated and ugly.

I lucked out when someone offered me free cabinets.  At first I thought "Oh yeah, they must be junk."   Come to find that they really were quite nice and after a lot of configuring, I now have the kitchen I can really enjoy.

First Post

I was blogging on a site called Vox.  They decided suddenly to close unless you moved your blog over to another site with a subscription fee.  I wasn't happy about having to do the work, so I decided to start a completely new blog.  Let me introduce my family
