The Balcony

After tiling and screening in my big balcony, the kitties love to "hang out."  They have it good don't you think?

My Home

Master Bedroom
Here I am posting pictures for Amber and Heather on the other areas of my house.  I have a 40 foot balcony that I tiled and screened in as well.  That was one of the best investments I could have made next to remodeling the kitchen.  I really love living here.  It is so good for my soul to have my own space to be in.

For Amber and Heather

I got off the phone last night with Amber and Heather.  They wanted to see pictures of my home, so I am posting them.  There really have been too many, but I'll just put a few up so that they can see it before they come to visit Tante Heide.  Love you both!!!

The fireplace!!!  I designed the screen and had Leandro fabricate it.  All Italian forged steel components and his artistry to realize the beauty of the finished results.  The stockings were handmade by moi.

Tiggy's Blankie

I stopped to buy a blanket since the weather will become freezing tonight.  We have had some cold nights and I normally get very warm at night (yes over 50 years old) LOL.  A funny story......Tiggy was watching me with my parcels coming in from shopping.  He was eyeing the Target bag with the very visible blanket on it.  He patiently waited until I took it to the bedroom.  I have come to the conclusion that this cat is really quite remarkable and very smart.  No sooner did I make the bed and.....
Need I explain any further, Tigrrr made a spot for himself and has barely left it since last Saturday.  Since tonight will dip to 21 degrees I am sure he will be there again.  Tiggy is now 11-1/2 years in cat years.  Sweet dreams my sweet kitty.

Dishwasher Success

Wow, one would never know when you are remodeling how difficult installing a dishwasher can be.  Apparently if you have an older model that has been damaged, but still in working condition you are at a disadvantage.  However after lots of research on the web, finding the right resources, I was able to repair the broken front panel on the bottom and find the proper clips to attach my dishwasher to the new granite.

Last night I was able to use my dishwasher for the first time since October 1st when my remodeling job started.  Rafael my wonderful GC, installed the clips for me for nothing.  Now my kitchen is complete!!!

Even Callie approves!!!
